Chicagos Action/Adventure returns with Ever After, their second full-length on Pure Noise Records and a powerful step forward both musically and emotionally. Since forming in 2014, the all-BIPOC band has built a reputation for challenging expectations in pop-punktouring extensively, speaking to underrepresented voices, and earning critical acclaim along the way. With viral moments like Barricades and appearances on stages like Riot Fest and the final Vans Warped Tour, the band continues to grow without losing their edge. Ever After explores the tension between ambition and exhaustionthe quiet moments when you question everything, even as the world asks more of you. As the band describes it: The stark reality of living your dreams. The shifting goalpost of a fulfilling life. The internal conflict of having people who support you but also depend on you. You are fighting to stay awake when everything is quiet so you can open yourself up and dig for spare parts to share with the outside world. Featuring the standout track Big Al Dente, the album is a raw, reflective look at purpose, pressure, and persistencedelivered with the urgency and honesty that defines Action/Adventure.
